Remote field testing for suitable tube-inspection applications. RFT is listed in Skydew’s advanced NDT capability and is selected according to the tube material, geometry and inspection requirement.
Remote Field Testing (RFT) is an electromagnetic method used to inspect suitable ferromagnetic tubing for conditions such as corrosion, erosion and pitting. Tube material, diameter and wall thickness are important when selecting the technique and probe arrangement.
Evaluation of relevant tube-condition indications
RFT supports tube-condition assessment by evaluating changes in the remote field. Inspection findings must be interpreted against the agreed procedure and acceptance requirements. Discuss any areas that may need complementary inspection with the technical team.
Technique and access planning
Send the tube material, outside diameter, wall thickness, tube length and quantity with your enquiry. Include access arrangements, cleaning condition, drawings and previous findings so Skydew can review the inspection scope. See our advanced NDT services or request an RFT quotation.
