Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Skydew Energy Services Limited provides Ultrasonic Testing for flaw detection, corrosion and erosion wall-thickness measurement, precision thickness measurement and other integrity assessments. UT can be applied to detect discontinuities such as cracks, inclusions, porosity and delamination while supporting condition assessment of industrial components and structures.
Radiographic Testing (RT)
Skydew Energy Services Limited provides Radiographic Testing (RT) using conventional film radiography and digital radiography technologies to examine the internal condition of welds, piping and other industrial components.
Depending on the inspection requirement, radiography may use X-ray or gamma-ray sources with film or digital image-capture systems to reveal internal discontinuities that may not be visible from the surface.
Our radiography work is carried out by qualified and experienced personnel using controlled inspection procedures and appropriate safety measures. Digital radiography can support weld inspection, profile radiography, corrosion and erosion assessment, Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) evaluation, blockage detection, valve-related inspection and pipe or tube quality assessment.
Magnetic Particle Testing (MT / MPI)
Skydew Energy Services Limited provides Magnetic Particle Testing for the detection of surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. Depending on the inspection requirement, wet or dry magnetic particle techniques may be applied.
The component is magnetised and inspection particles are applied so that relevant discontinuities can produce visible indications for evaluation under the appropriate lighting conditions.
At Skydew Energy Services (SES) Ltd we have experts who can perform every step of this quick and cost-effective, process beginning from pre-cleaning and surface preparation, magnetic field introduction, media application and finally interpretation of the resulting indications.
Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT / LPT)
Liquid Penetrant Testing is used to detect surface-breaking discontinuities in suitable non-porous materials. Skydew applies penetrant inspection techniques to welds, components and other accessible surfaces where cracks, laps, seams or similar surface defects may be present.
Liquid penetrant testing involves the application of a fluid with low viscosity to the material to be tested. This fluid seeps into any defects such as cracks or porosity before a developer is applied which allows the penetrant liquid to seep upwards and create a visible indication of the flaw. Liquid penetrant tests can be conducted using solvent removable penetrants, water washable penetrants or post-emulsifiable penetrants.
Hardness Testing
Skydew Energy Services Limited provides hardness testing to support material verification, fabrication and maintenance activities. Hardness measurements can help assess material condition and support engineering decisions where confirmation of material properties is required.
Vacuum Box Leak Testing
As part of our tank inspection capability, Skydew Energy Services Limited conducts Vacuum Box Leak Testing to identify leakage paths in accessible tank welds and support the integrity assessment of aboveground storage tanks.
